Yesterday I received the releases from Simple Minds and Ric Ocasek - both of these are due to hit the streets in September, but we will start airing tracks from both starting next week Monday. Also being added to those will be tracks from the new Brian Eno and a new single only from Big Head Todd that is very cool. If I can steal the checkbook for an afternoon I might go get the new Kraftwerk live disc as well. Wish me luck!

This week’s Friday Night Fantasy Concert finishes Hal’s look at the roots of 80s’ music with a full concert by Curved Air, a 1982 US concert by Richard and Linda Thompson, and an unplugged set by Yes, augmented with other live tunes from the 80s by the Cure, Psychedelic Furs, REM, and the Fall.
