BitTorrent Intro & BT URLs for Hal’s Stash!

Step One: Download a FREE BitTorrent Client for a platform of your choice by going here: http://www.bittorrent.com/

Step Two: Install said BitTorrent Client Application on your computer.

Step Three: Visit any or all of the three links below and download the very small BitTorrent FILE (typically 20k-100k). These small files basically tell your computer what to expect in terms of files and folders and important check points so that the file you receive is IDENTICAL to everyone elses.

Step Four: Open that smal BT file for the concert you want with your newly installed BitTorrent (BT) application.

Step Five: Be patient while your BT client connects with other BT clients downloading the exact same file across the globe. As you download parts of the show, you will also be uploading parts to others attempting to get the same show.

Step Six: Once the download is complete, use FLAC or SHORTEN to turn your newly downloaded audio files into WAVs, AIFF and burn to CD or MP3’s, depending on your personal listening preference.

REMEMBER: You are a leecher until you’ve downloaded the entire file set for each BT recording. Once you’ve completed the download, you become a seeder for others who are still in the process of downloading. Please always remember to give more than you’ve taken - meaning if you downloaded a 350MB show, be sure and upload at least that much - if not more. Personally, my share ratio is nearly 2.5 on DimeADozen.org, with nearly two terabytes uploaded. With a little knowledge you can discover a lot of GREAT music there. If you’ve got questions, just send me an email feedback @ 80sAirwaves dot com.

ALSO REMEMBER: If you use your BitTorrent client frequently, be sure and kick a few bucks to the hard working programmers who put these powerful tools together.
