Vacation - New Releases - No Requests
Aimee and I are off on vacation for the next week or so. After a few days in Dallas with friends, we’ll be playing the parts of annoying American tourists visitng some ports of call in the Caribbean. But this of course means that your requests will not be played - sorry! We’re still very analog when it comes to that! This also means no 80s Nuts Updates at Noon and Midnight and no Friday Night Concerts from Hal for the next two weeks. Odds are good, with the station on auto-pilot, the music mix might not be a smooth as it normally is - or as I would like to believe it is. B)
The good news is that last night I was successful at adding THREE new CDs to our new release rotation:
New Order - Waiting For The Siren’s Call
Social Distortion - Sex, Love and Rock & Roll
The Believers - Angels & Fools (former Dream Academy keyboardist).
We added four new tracks from each disc that will start rotation today! Speaking of new releases, we received confirmation yesterday that Rykodisc will be sending us the new Brian Eno CD, Another Day on Earth, due out on June 14th. For Brian Eno fans, like me, this is great news. For non-Eno fans, like Aimee, this is your fair warning! Check out their podcast in the meantime:

Back home in the garage, very soon.

PS: Don’t forget, tonight’s episode of “Hit Me Baby” has performances from the Motels, the Knack and even Tommy Tutone! My money is on Martha and the boys to win it all.
