Friday Nights Fantrasy Concert…
Tune in on Friday night again at 8PM for a special show with a NEW HOST! The show will feature the Police, from 1978, opening for the Clash. The show has already changed format a bit since our “pilot” episode last week, so check it out and let us know your thoughts.
Also, today is my birthday so at Noon CST today, just after the 80s news break from Martin, I will be playing a remix I did of Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer” using dialog from one of THE greatest movies ever, Almost Famous. The song is not from the 80’s, the movie is not from the 80’s, but it’s my birthday and it’s half my radio station so I’m going to play this damn song! Drop me an email if you have an opinion on it; feedback at 80sAirwaves dotcom. It’s a bit rough in spots, but if you are a fan of the movie, you’ll probably like this version. If you’ve never seen the movie, you’ll probably hate this remix, but you REALLY need to see the movie anyway. It’s Cameron Crowe’s love letter to music and a great film all around.
Enjoy your day.
